Our procurement activities are guided by Botswana's public procurement framework, including the provisions of the Public Procurement Act, 2021, and related regulations administered by the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA). EICB is committed to ensuring that all procurement activities are conducted in a manner that promotes transparency, accountability, and public confidence.

The first step in effective business planning is to define the mission and vision of the organization. This should be a clear and concise statement that describes what the business does, who it serves, and what its goals are. The mission and vision should be communicated clearly to all stakeholders, including employees, customers, and investors.

Suppliers interested in doing business with EICB are encouraged to:

  • Maintain valid business registration and regulatory compliance.
  • Regularly visit EICB website to search for procurement opportunities.
  • Participate competitively in tender processes.
  • Deliver goods and services in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Engage in supplier development and capacity-building initiatives where applicable.

EICB recognises procurement as a catalyst for economic transformation and inclusive growth. Through our sourcing practices, we seek to support local enterprise development, job creation, skills transfer, and broader participation in Botswana's minerals and investment value chain.

Together with our suppliers and partners, EICB is committed to creating sustainable value and unlocking opportunities for Botswana's future.

EICB supports Botswana's citizen economic empowerment agenda by promoting the participation of citizen-owned enterprises in our supply chain. In line with applicable procurement legislation and national empowerment objectives, we seek to create opportunities for local businesses, particularly those owned by women, youth, persons with disabilities, and rural-based entrepreneurs.
